Voel's Debut at London Fashion Week: A Celebration of Natural Elegance
I am excited to share the exhilarating experience of presenting my latest fashion collection at London Fashion Week, hosted by the esteemed Oxford Fashion Studio. This incredible opportunity marked my first international showcase, and I had the honour of representing my brand, Voel, on such a prestigious platform.
The Journey to London Fashion Week
Being invited to London Fashion Week was a dream come true. The anticipation and excitement were palpable as I prepared to unveil my evening wear collection, crafted entirely from 100% natural silk. Each piece in the collection was meticulously hand-printed and dyed using traditional, natural dye techniques, ensuring that every garment was unique and environmentally friendly.
The Inspiration Behind the Collection
The inspiration for this collection came from the desire to merge elegance with sustainability. I wanted to create evening wear that not only looked luxurious but also celebrated the beauty of natural materials and artisanal craftsmanship. Natural silk was the perfect choice for its lustrous finish and soft, smooth texture, embodying the sophistication and grace I envisioned.
Artisanal Techniques and Sustainable Practices
